Official 2022 Battle ENTRY RULES: To be eligible:Must be 18 years old or older (Valid ID and face mask REQUIRED for entry).Must be a part of a raid train on twitch to compete in the 2022 raid train twitch battle. Finalists must be able to provide any necessary performance tools for the dj equipment provided at the battle. (Vinyl, Needles &amp; Cartridges, USB Cables, Headphones….etc.)Dj equipment provided will be: 1 Pioneer dj srt 1000 and laptop stand 1 Gemini instinct Hercules impulse and laptop stand 1 Pioneer ddj xz Or bring your own device and laptop stand ​Competition and Judging Criteria:​The competition will consist of the following:Round 1: 5-10 Minute Set: djs choice of theme. a. From the 8 DJ’s, judges will select 4 to advance to Round 2. Round 2: 5 Minute Set: judges choose your theme. a. From the 4 DJ’s, judges will select 2 to no advance to the Final Round 3Round 3: 5 min Second Set: the audience chooses a theme. a. Judges will select the overall winner based on all sets. Online voting can be used to encourage judges but will not be a determining factor. We will choose one DJ who will win $1,000 from B.E. media and designs llc. Good Luck! Judging is based on 3 criteria:OriginalityTechnicalityStage Presence Your routine will also be judged on the following:i. Technical: Overall mixing and rhythmic skill. Use of the equipment/mixer. Blends. Tricksii. Musicality: Track selection. Musical style. Musical awareness. Track flow. Track compatibility. We reserve the right to disqualify any DJ where, in our sole discretion, we believe cheating was involved.

The B side media mixtape volume 2 will be dedicated to the memory of Jassè Dickens, owner of Melanin Magic Shea Butter. She founded her company after she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2015. The goal of Melanin Magic was to develop healthy products free of toxins and carcinogens to promote safe, naturally radiant skin way to promote healthy living and breast cancer awareness. Jassè was Dj Shannell B’s Line Sister and huge supporter BE Media and Designs,LLC. Before her passing in March 2022, she sponsored one of our B side twitch contests. In honor of the warrior she was, Two djs will compete during a special JD “Jassè Dickens” Battle on Oct 30th. The proceeds from this event will be donated to the winning Dj’s cancer foundation on her behalf.In addition to the Dj battle, the newest B side Media Mixtape will be in memory of Jassè and her favorite jams!
