He started rapping when he was eight — his mom wrote his rhymes.Layzie Bone of the seminal Ohio rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is Dizzy’s uncle. He played a mentor-type role in Dizzy’s childhood.Instead of going with a major label, Wright signed with rapper Hopsin’s independent Funk Volume imprint in 2012 and released his debut album, SmokeOut Conversations, that same year.In 2013, he made XXL’s Freshman Class list, alongside Chief Keef, Action Bronson, Ab-Soul, and others.He continued his evolution with 2015’s The Growing Process, which featured Big K.R.I.T., Tech N9ne, Krayzie Bone, and Layzie Bone. The album made the Top 5 of Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.In 2020, Wright teamed up with frequent collaborator Demrick for the Blaze With Us 2 sequel. Months later, he returned with the solo project My Hustle Unmatched.
