This walking tour will follow the July Art Show in Gallery 5- thinking all about plant movements & which plants have moved most?

This walking tour takes the art show inside (all about immigration) and moves it outside into Jackson Ward to contextualize through plants and urban planning! We&#x27;ll be connecting July blooms to the theme: immigrants, by thinking about the history of horticulture- people changing, domesticating, and moving plants across borders and around the world! Did you know roses and magnolias are some of the oldest flowers in the world? And roses first began being cultivated in China? Learn EVERYTHING about culture and plants on this packed-full plant tour. Including: what IS cultivation, and why do humans practice it?Meet at Gallery5 at 5 PM, tour for about 30 minutes. We have a brand new &quot;Flora Finding&quot; sign to meet outside with.Ticket includes a complimentary happy hour drink, and a reserved spot inside the gallery in case we&#x27;ve met capacity already. This walk is fully accessible and only takes place on standard sidewalks in the neighborhood, without steps. We do recommend keeping an eye out for the stray loose brick along the way. All ages are welcome with a ticket. We recommend sunscreen, bug spray, and water to combat Richmond summers!All sales for Tickets are final.
