嘉御基金创始合伙人，董事长卫哲的身上，荣光无限。
又被赋予了许多历史标签。
他从中国证券教父管金生的小秘书做起，3年干到万国证券副总经理；29岁成为普华永道史上最年轻的合伙人之一；32岁担任百安居中国区总裁，史上最年轻的世界500强中国区总裁； 36岁执掌阿里巴巴，一年后，带领阿里巴巴在香港主板上市，并在之后的几年时间里，将阿里的营业收入从2006年的13.6亿元增长到2010年的55亿元。
 
直到2011年，马云壮士断腕，卫哲离开阿里。
时至今日，搜索卫哲，排在前面的依然是“阿里CEO卫哲引咎辞职”的连篇累牍。这几乎是只要谈及卫哲无论如何都绕不开的一个话题。有人说，这是一道分水岭，将卫哲的职业生涯分成了前后两个阶段，之前是职业经理人，之后是投资人。
 
云端坠落，旁人唏嘘不已。
卫哲却说，从阿里辞职是他人生中最闪光的时刻。
从阿里辞职后，卫哲选择重回老本行。2011年4月，他和以前普华永道的同事朱大铭合伙创建了嘉御基金，主要做互联网、电子商务、消费零售和B2B四个领域的投资。嘉御基金成立后，受到众多大佬的青睐，马云成为第一个投资人，这在很大程度上打消了外界对于两人矛盾的猜测。马云之后，李泽楷等商界大佬也纷纷加入。
如今，再度起航后的卫哲已经在风险投资领域打拼6年。目前已经投资了几十个项目，成功推出了包括安心公寓、京东金融、PPS、91助手、500彩票网等项目。但当问及他最满意的投资案例是哪一个？卫哲却说，以前球王贝利有一句话，别人问他你这辈子哪一个球进得最好？他说，下一个。
