The female-fronted, all POC band is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about pop punk acts in the DC area, known for their heavy, melodic sound and relatable emo lyrics. Keep Your Secrets also calls their sound "Cold Brew Core," for the monster-drinking warped tour kids who have grown into highly caffeinated adults.ARTIFICIAL ISLANDWashington, DCARTIFICIAL ISLAND is a group of black kids from DC that love making noise. Taking inspiration from your favorite pop punk, prog metal, emo, and math rock bands, A.I. fuses elements from them all to deliver a giant sound that we honestly struggle to label with a genre. All we know is that it’s loud, fast, and fun. In our honest opinion, all of our songs could be cartoon theme songs or anime openings. We try to bring our listeners back to that nostalgic feeling of coming home from grade school and turning on the TV to learn some life lessons from our favorite 2-dimensional characters.***COVID PolicyIn order to attend an event at Comet Ping Pong we now require proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination.
