Patrick Scully and Mark Wojahn invite you to a Filmmaker’s Evening and Fundraiser to complete the new documentary “The Dance is Not Over: The Patrick Scully Story”Wednesday, September 14 | 6:00 – 10:00 pmThe Woman’s Club of Minneapolis | 410 Oak Grove StreetThe event is free but with a suggested minimum donation - $65Dive into an evening of performance and film, hors d’oeuvres and drinks, dancing and red carpets to raise the final funds to complete Mark Wojahn’s film that documents the life and work of Patrick Scully.Happy Hour 6-7pm, Entertainment 7pm“The Dance is Not Over: The Patrick Scully Story,” documents and celebrates the life and work of Minneapolis’ well-known Gay dancer, performance artist, storyteller, and activist. Patrick’s story chronicles the events of a generation and is critically important to document for future generations. The completed film will be available on streaming services and will be preserved at the University of Minnesota’s Tretter Collection of Patrick Scully.All donations will be designated for the completion of this work.Funders giving $20,000 will be credited as Executive Producers$10,000 will be credited as Producers$5,000 will be credited as Associate ProducersAny amount will also be listed in the credits of the film.Our goal is to raise $65,000 to ensure that Patrick’s story – which in many ways is all of our stories – gets told.Scheduled to Appear on the rooftop or in The Women&#x27;s Club theater:Joe Chvala Flying Foot Forum + Susana Di Palma + Prudence Johnson + Eyenga Bokamba + Patrick Scully + Andrew Peterson + DJ Cyn Collins + Laura Stone-JerajWe will screen Joe Chvala’s Flying Foot Forum short film “Cookaphony” in the theater.All attendees will be gifted a blu-ray or free download of “Leaves of Grass – Illuminated”, a related Wojahn documentary of Patrick’s 2019 show at the Guthrie Theater. The finale&#x27; of our entertainment will be a clip from the film we are fundraising for, “The Dance is Not Over: The Patrick Scully Story&quot; it will be introduced by Director Mark Wojahn and Director of Photography Greg Winter.An online Silent Art Auction will compliment this event, featuring these artists and more, Terry Gydesen, Keri Pickett, Areca Roe, Xavier Tavara, Vance Gellert, Dougie Padilla, Keith Holmes, Mark Wojahn and Lynn Wadsworth.
