Typographics is a design festival for people who use type. Presented by The Cooper Union. In Person and Online. Discounts for Conference tickets are available for educators & students. In-person conference ticket holders can get 10% discount on workshops.

Holly and Jared will lead a presentation of rare publications celebrating typography and letterforms from the 19th century to today featuring a wide range of type specimen catalogs, periodicals and monographs from Depero and Cassandre to Herman Zapf and Russell Maret. Thomas J. Watson Library is the central research library of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Open to all researchers who are college age and above, Watson&#x27;s collection of more than one million books and periodicals relating to the history of art and visual culture is one of the most comprehensive in the world. Jared AshFlorence and Herbert Irving Collections Librarian Jared leads and manages Watson Library’s collection development team and selects publications for acquisition. He develops programs to assess and expand diversity and inclusivity in the collection, and to promote wider awareness, access, and use of Watson’s resources. His previous positions include Special Collections Curator and Librarian at the Newark Public Library, and Curator of the Judith Rothschild Foundation. He has published and presented widely on the Russian avant-garde, artists’ books, and other subjects. He holds a BA with Honors from Brown University, an MA in Russian Studies from New York University, and an MLIS from Rutgers University.Holly PhillipsCollections Manager, AcquisitionsHolly is responsible for acquiring rare research material and overseeing the gifts program. She holds a BA in Art History from Barnard College, and an MA in Art History (specializing in nineteenth-century art) from Columbia University. She joined the staff of Watson Library in 1995.
