Wheatland Workshops

Hands-on technical workshops are offered by the Wheatland Geospatial Lab in the School of Forest Resources at the University of Maine.  Our workshops cover a variety of topics in geospatial science and technology.

<p>You will learn what is required to get your FAA UAS Remote Pilot certification and how to effectively prepare for the exam. The workshop will also cover all aspects of UAS including aircraft types, flight and mission planning, field safety checks, and flight practice with your own UAV (weather permitting). Finally, you will learn how to complete basic data transfer and processing of UAV imagery.</p>
