Wheatland Workshops

Hands-on technical workshops are offered by the Wheatland Geospatial Lab in the School of Forest Resources at the University of Maine.  Our workshops cover a variety of topics in geospatial science and technology.

<p>You will learn where to get publicly available point cloud data, how to visualize your data, how to create bare earth DTMs, canopy surface models, canopy height models, hillshades, and other common raster lidar metrics. Participants will walk away with the tools and knowledge to apply the workflows used in the workshop to their existing lidar and photo-based point cloud datasets.</p>
