谷雨书苑第365期 — 鸽城之歌：小说《鸽城》创作分享和讨论

ValleyRain International, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit cultural organization, was founded in March 2015 in the San Francisco Bay Area.We were founded with the mission of building a bridge between Aisa and North America cultures.To date, we have hosted upwards of 500 cultural events in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas，Beijing, and Shanghai, among other cities. At these events, we gather leading voices in the field to engage in dialogue and share knowledge.谷雨书苑2015年创立于旧金山湾区，致力于促进中美文化交流。迄今为止, 谷雨在旧金山湾区，洛杉矶，北京，上海等地举办了超过500场的线下文化交流分享活动。邀请为谷雨做过分享的嘉宾包括，知名导演贾樟柯，“最牛历史老师”袁腾飞，知名学者秦晖，北京四中国际教育创始人石国鹏，奇葩说冠军邱晨，詹青云，知名辩手艾力，等。谷雨书苑接下来还会邀请更多文化圈的名人大咖，知名学者和大家见面，敬请期待。

<h2>报名须知</h2><ol><li>活动免费，请大家通过谷雨Eventbrite报名。</li><li>报名后会邮箱发送小说电子版，建议大家提前阅读。</li><li>计划活动完和作者一起聚餐。有意参加者在报完名后填写<a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IIsMujf28M9PSAls1IHo85QJ4CVh_hWkBIwZWwvMmKU/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">此表</a>。</li></ol><h2>活动详情</h2>上半场：作者黄雅纯介绍创作背景，讲述小说背后的真实故事。下半场：谷雨书苑Stream邀请Kate作为cohost，一起引导大家对相关话题进行分类讨论。（Kate: 纽约大学校友，文学爱好者，终日沉迷于从书中了解人和世界。）<h2>关于此书</h2>以下是Stream为此书写的一个引介：纽约是座鸽城，故事发生于此。春阳里慵懒，夏空中响亮，秋叶上团团转，初雪时呼唤，这座城市的一所高中里，鸽子是四季的陪伴，是光阴故事里的诉说。庸常时和煦稀落，危难时惊慌四起，鸽子也是使者，无意中圈点起命运的虚线。《鸽城》的主调式是沉重的。彼得，一个有影无踪的“问题少年”，死于黑社会枪下。枪声响起的那刻，让人脑海中响起伍佰的《白鸽》：“前方啊，没有方向；身上啊，没有了衣裳；鲜血啊，渗出了翅膀；我的眼泪，湿透了胸膛。” 梦中有只黑色的鸽子沉默坠落。恬欣的死亡记忆被封装在梦的行李里，走过八年，走进三十岁， “沉默的大地，沉默的天空；红色的血，继续的流；纵然带着永远的伤口，至少我还拥有自由...流浪的路，我自己走”。恬欣对学生仁爱，麦克浪漫温厚，还有单身俱乐部，杜家辉作业小组，有这么一群可爱的人给小说涂抹着亮色。在一个对人性有着普遍关怀的环境里，总有人可以借到一盏灯，走出漆黑的夜。故事的背后还打开八十年代美国和早期中国移民的画卷。这代人断层的历史也给二代移民的教育和人生选择带来挑战。雅纯姐听到我发去的伍伯的歌时，说：“似乎是为我小说写的，我的小说也似是为伍伯写的，令我又是老泪纵横！” 她还告诉我，她的学生有两位确是死于黑社会的枪下。于是有了这期活动，我们想和雅纯姐一起讨论这部小说，并听她讲讲背后的故事。（附： <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNuXbIfwXP4" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">伍佰 Wu Bai&amp;China Blue【白鴿 White dove】Official Music Video </a>）<h2>作者简介</h2>黃雅純 （筆名：玄黃），哥倫比亞大学教育碩士，任職美國公立高中數十年。教學之餘埋頭創作，筆耕不輟。著有長篇小說《南寧舊事》，中篇小說《尋找玉蘭花》、《紅白罌粟花》、《鴿城》，《那年，蝶年》等，回忆录《风吹稻花香两岸·一个外省人的台湾回忆》(<a href="https://valleyrain.org/event/2023/03/04/fengchuidaohua/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">往期活动</a>)。 <h2>活动时间和地点</h2>时间：2023年10月28日（周六）15:00-17:00活动地点：Silicon Valley Asian Art Center参与方式 (线下)：硅谷亚洲艺术中心Silicon Valley Asian Art Center3777 Stevens Creek Blvd #400M, Santa Clara, CA 95051本次活动将会录像，编辑上传至<a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzuQbOXWdQZfdMLfU-w1jvg" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">谷雨YouTube官方频道</a>，敬请关注.
