Ra Malika Imhotep and their father Akbar Imhotep will exchange poems and discuss the Southern Black Arts landscapes that nourish them.

In 2012, Ra Malika Imhotep and their father Akbar Imhotep began a series of intergenerational poetic collaborations under the title &#x27;Spirit Spectrum.&#x27; Ten years later both Imhotep&#x27;s have recently published poetry collections of their own gossypiin and 70@ 70: Silver Lining Poems. For this event, the two Imhotep&#x27;s will exchange poems and discuss the Southern Black Arts landscapes that nourish them.Join Burnaway Tuesday, July 19th at 7pm EST for an evening of poetry readings and response. Please register to attend. This program is open to the public and free with registration, though a $5 minimum contribution is encouraged for those who are not yet members or donors of Burnaway.
