This program will review how to support pregnant clients of CPSs with OUD as well as describe components of clinical care during pregnancy

<h3>Peers have a unique and important role in communicating accurate and essential information to clients who are pregnant. This program will review statistics about pregnancy and substance use disorder as well as describe components of clinical care during pregnancy, medications for opioid use disorder, labor and delivery, pain management options, and what to expect following delivery. </h3>Trainers: Chelsea Sormilich<ul><li>Program Director, Pregnant and Postpartum Recovery Program (PPR), Unity Recovery</li></ul>Sam Merkt<ul><li>Full Spectrum Doula, Maternal, Child and Family Health division of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health</li></ul>Target Audience: Certified Recovery Specialists and Certified Peer Specialists who provide care for those who are pregnant/postpartum.Learning Objective: After attending this program, participants will be able to:<ul><li>Describe treatment options and communication tools for pregnant and postpartum patients with OUD.</li></ul>FEE: There is no fee for this program, including continuing education. Advance application and registration is required.ACCREDITATION STATEMENTCRS Credits: Pennsylvania Certification Board: PCB approved hours have been applied for.
