The Photographic Resource Center (PRC) is a vital forum for the exploration, interpretation, and celebration of new work, ideas, and methods in photography. We inspire our members and the broader community with thought-provoking exhibits, educational programs, wide-ranging resources, and unique special events that support the advancement of the photographic arts. Founded in 1976, the PRC is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that the Boston Globe has cited as “one-stop shopping for the photo buff.” The Photographic Resource Center (PRC) will not, in any circumstances, share your personal information with other individuals or organizations without your permission, including public organizations, corporations or individuals, except when applicable by law. We do not sell, communicate or divulge your information to any mailing lists.

Water effects every aspect of human life on earth. Join us as photographers share their vision of how we live with this essential element.

Water effects our emotions, our way of living, our geographical choices, how we relate to others, and so much more. No matter where one lives it seems the peak of water worship is summertime, and PRC Nights Online: Water is a time to share work featuring water as the main character.Stella Johnson is the featured photographer at this event. Her current series, Evidence of Life at the Water’s Edge, began in Greece in 2019. When the pandemic clamped down in early March 2020, she sought out bodies of water from Massachusetts to Florida and California where she photographed people gathering in willful pursuit of happiness, &quot;Photographing became a spontaneous and crucial element of my day-to-day survival strategy. During a year of privation, bodies of water offered respite and satisfied my thirst for joy.&quot; Join us as we see where the project has taken her and other PRC Member Photographers who will be sharing their work.
