Join us for a conversation with top YC founders and learn about their journey in entrepreneurship!
We'll be chatting about how these founders got started and when they knew it was right to start, their opinions around when one should start vs join a startup, their YC journey as well as major turning points / challenges post YC. Through this event, we hope to help engineers think about different opportunities into entrepreneurship, whether it be starting, joining, advising or working with startups.

PlanGrid is a cloud-based app that allows users to store blueprints and construction documents on iPad and iPhone. PlanGrid's board members include Doug Leone, Managing Partner @ Sequoia Capital; George Hu, COO @ Twilio; Carol Bartz, ex-CEO @ Autodesk etc. Prior to PlanGrid, Tracy was a construction field engineer and helped build and deliver several hospitals and heavy civil projects. She also spent time managing coordination of MEPF systems and bidding projects. She jokes that, with PlanGrid, she went from working for one superintendent to hundreds of thousands of them.

Apptimize lets mobile teams increase revenue and engagement by iterating faster and smarter. Apptimize's investors include Google Ventures, Maverick Capital etc. Nancy led the GETCO (now KCG Holdings) FI Quantitative Strategies team in New York and Chicago. She is a world-class expert in algorithmic trading and electronic exchanges. While studying Math with CS at MIT, Nancy was the MIT Varsity Fencing team captain, built lasers in the Harvard/MIT Center for Ultracold Atoms, and was a developer in Israel. Aside from her blog, she loves to write on Quora and Amazon. In 2015, Nancy’s leadership at Apptimize earned her a spot in the Forbes “30 Under 30”.

Anu Hariharan is a Partner with the YC Continuity Fund. Previously, Anu was an investment partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where she worked actively with the management teams of portfolio companies including Airbnb, Instacart, Medium, OfferUp and Udacity. Prior to this, Anu was a Principal at BCG’s Private Equity Practice and was a senior software engineer at Qualcomm. Anu holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from The Wharton School.
