The Sound Room is aptly named. The focus is on the sound or the music. Unlike clubs where the performance may be peripheral to the experience, at the Sound Room the performance is the experience.  We are an all-ages listening room. We exist to present great music and promote jazz as an art form.The Sound Room is the home of Bay Area Jazz & Arts, a  501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on promoting the Arts.

<p>El Caribefunk is a Latin Grammy winning band that plays Caribbean music with elements of North American Funk. Originally from Cartagena Colombia and formed by Funkcho Salas and Andrés Mordecai, the band was born in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia), with a lot of groove. You will want to dance! </p><p> Looking to take their music to many corners of the planet, they recorded their first album called "El Caribefunk". Join them as they make their International Tour!  </p>
