Create by the Creek

Create by the Creek is a celebration of art and community in Rock Creek Park. This day-long festival will include free, outdoor workshops led by local artists, art supplies to borrow, and a meet-up for landscape painters.

Powdered graphite creates unique, atmospheric effects--like a pencil but much more fluid! After a short demonstration, students will use this new medium to draw the Rock Creek landscape. Please note that the rain date for this workshop will be Sunday, June 19, at the same time. This workshop is intended for participants ages 16 and up.
