<h3>Special guests: the debut performance of Swampanova! </h3><h3>Two bands, more music!</h3>Lookie Lookie timbales player Rick Barry toured for many years with the reknowned ska band Bim Skala Bim.Rick and three other Bim members started a new recording project just before the pandemic, Swampanova. Songwriter/singer/guitarist Jim Jones, bassist Mark Ferrante, drummer Jim Arhelger and Rick playing congas meld bossa nova, Caribbean grooves and a laid back, almost Grateful Dead-like rock vibe. They play with the assurance of a band that spent years on the road playing thousands of shows...but this will be their debut performance!Lookie&#x27;s Russ Gershon and Ted DeColo added saxes to Swampanova&#x27;s recording, and Russ will sit in with them at the Distillery, maybe with the other Lookie horns. _______________________________Lookie and the Distillery:Lookie Lookie and its fans have been looking for a place to recapture the vibe of the legendary Latin Bugalú parties in our old loft in Somerville, pre-pandemic.We have found the joint: Boston Harbor Distillery. It&#x27;s an amazing room that feels both grand and cozy, the perfect place to kick back with a cocktail, enjoy the music and dance if you&#x27;re in the mood.You do have to buy your tickets via Eventbrite – no cash changes hands at the door. But you can do it on your phone, whenever you arrive.Cocktails made from the Distillery&#x27;s fine products are available, but alas, we can&#x27;t include them in the ticket price. However, 100% of the ticket price goes to the eight members of Lookie.Feel free to BYO food from home or a takeout place. You can also have food delivered to the Distillery. There are large, lovely tables where you can spread out your dinner or snacks.Lookie plays Latin Bugalú, a late &#x27;60&#x27;s blend of mambo, salsa and American pop.
