Tsuru for Solidarity is a non-violent, direct-action project of Japanese American social justice advocates and allies working to end detention sites and support directly impacted immigrants and refugee communities that are being targeted by racist, inhumane immigration policies. Origami tsuru, folded crane in Japanese, is a symbol of peace, serves as an iconic symbol and vehicle for the group to bring people together to work side by side, build allies, create change, and begin the healing process.Members will share their tsuru stories and show their unique tsuru creations with messages of hope and support, and giant flying tsuru. Award winning filmmaker, Emiko Omori will introduce two of her Tsuru for Solidarity films, Flying Cranes (2:09 min) and Tsuru History (15:31 min).Join in a tsuru origami making activity.<a href="https://tsuruforsolidarity.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">tsuruforsolidarity.org</a>
