Ride with SVBC to explore the Penitencia Creek Trail in San José!

Berryessa Transit Center

Ride with SVBC as we take the Penitencia Creek Trail from Berryessa Transit Center all the way to Alum Rock Park! Join us as we cover this trail from end to end - an amazing east-west connection across the East Side of San José. Our ride will wrap up at the beloved community gem of Alum Rock City Park, where they are celebrating 150 years of historical open space! Incredible! We are partnering with Heartworkers Union to support their creek cleanup at Penitencia Creek County Park, which is beginning at 9:00 AM. All attendees of the bike ride are invited to support the cleanup efforts at Penitencia Creek County Park when we arrive there. Likewise, all attendees of the cleanup efforts are welcome to join us on our bike ride as we continue to Alum Rock Park!<a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/552942736295979" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Follow our Facebook event</a> for interesting posts and updates as the ride draws closer! Here&#x27;s the game plan:<ul><li>Start at Berryessa Transit Center - meet 10:00, roll 10:30</li><li>Ride to Penitencia Creek County Park, rest and explore the park for 30 minutes. Hear from Heartworkers Union and check out their cleanup efforts. Grab a bag and chip in if you&#x27;d like!</li><li>Continue the ride to Alum Rock Park for one event in their series celebrating their 150th anniversary! </li><li>Stay as long as you&#x27;d like at Alum Rock Park - our return ride to Berryessa will depart around 1:00 PM.</li></ul>Interested in volunteering to help make this ride happen? When you get your ticket, register as a Volunteer Ride Leader to wear a vest, ride as a middle support or a sweep, and be trained in Ride Leadership. Volunteer Ride Leaders are expected to arrive no later than 9:45 AM
