Apt. 205 by Amanda Black, Directed by Virtic Emil Brown With *Allison Reeves, Max Pescherine, and *Cathy Diane Tomlin Synopsis: Two wanderers named Sione and Derek are both looking for a purpose in their respective lives. After meeting on a dating app and fumbling through a failed “hook-up,” they discover they could be a good match for something else. Such as getting rid of the person who lives in Apartment 205. This person is a shut-in who lacks any tact, compassion, or consideration for anyone else. At least... that’s the rumor in the building. Perhaps destroying Apartment 205, will lead these two neighbors towards a kind of connection that neither of them would have ever thought possible. NOTE: An audio-play version of the reading is available for patrons unable to attend The Lyric Hyperion in Los Angeles. Please indicate if you would like an audio version of the reading in the survey after you reserve a ticket. This production is presented under the auspices of the Actors Equity Los Angeles Membership Company RuleAbout BLOSSOMING: a new play reading seriesThe Vagrancy annually selects four playwrights with diverse perspectives to join their playwrights&#x27; group. Beginning each fall, the writers meet regularly as they craft their plays. The Vagrancy hosts two development workshops wherein the plays are explored with the playwright, actors, and a director in a rehearsal setting. This year&#x27;s theme is &quot;Truth and Relativity.&quot;BLOSSOMING is the first public reading of these four original plays. Be inspired, have a glass of wine, and help the plays&#x27; development along with post-reading audience and artist talkbacks. These readings are made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs &amp; is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
