Convent Avenue Baptist Church Reopens to In Person Worship!

We look forward to seeing you in person! We ask that you continue to be prayerful as we safely navigate our way toward the place where we can all worship together in the sanctuary.
Please arrive early  to complete check in and to verify your health screening questionnaire. Sunday School will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and Worship Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing you and worshipping together in the Main Sanctuary!

<h3>After being physically apart, and worshipping remotely, we are excited to announce that beginning Sunday, June 5, 2022, the Convent Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem, New York will open its doors to in-person worship at a limited capacity for Corporate Sunday School at 9:00 A.M. and the Worship Service at 10:00 A.M.  You and members of your household are invited to make a reservation to worship with us in the Main Sanctuary. We will continue to adhere to certain Covid-19 protocols including social distancing guidelines for the safety and wellness of you and your family.</h3><h3> We look forward to a glorious Worship Service and Holy Communion on this day designated as Pentecost Sunday. To God be the Glory!</h3><h3><strong>Here’s what you need to know before you come to the Convent Sanctuary: PLEASE READ TO THE END </strong></h3><h3><strong>1.	Pre-registration is required to attend service weekly and is nontransferable. Please note that on-site registration is not available.</strong></h3><h3><strong>2.	Families of each household must sit together.</strong></h3><h3><strong>3.	 Everyone must enter through the John W. Saunders Education Building at 425 W. 144th Street.</strong></h3><h3><strong>4.	 Upon arrival onto church property, and while on-site, and in the Sanctuary a mask that covers the nose and mouth must be worn at all times.</strong></h3><h3><strong>5.	Proof of Vaccine (a minimum of 2 doses of Moderna or Pfizer or 1 dose of J&amp;J) or proof of a 72 hr. negative Covid-19 test must be presented.</strong></h3><h3><strong>6.	A brief Self-Health survey form must be completed prior to entry into the Sanctuary.</strong></h3><h3><strong>7.	Temperature checks will be required at the entrance.  If your temperature is 100.0 degrees F or higher, you will not be able to enter the Sanctuary.  If you are feeling ill, have a fever, have a cough or are sneezing, or have body aches or a sore throat, nasal congestion or traveled to an endemic area or had contact with someone who has Covid-19, please stay home and seek medical attention. </strong></h3><h3><strong>8.	 Contact information must be provided prior to entering the church. </strong></h3><h3><strong>9.	 Everyone will be seated by the ushers. Seating is honored on a first come, first-served basis.</strong></h3><h3><strong>10.	 Always maintain 3 feet of social distance. Please refrain from physically touching, embracing others, unless immediate family members.</strong></h3><h3><strong>11.	 Food or beverages are not allowed in the Sanctuary.</strong></h3><h3><strong>12.	Offerings may be placed in the offering baskets upon entrance or exiting of the main sanctuary.</strong></h3><h3><strong>13.	We’re asking that everyone (except those physically challenged) leave the Main Sanctuary immediately following the worship service through the front doors of the Main Sanctuary.</strong></h3><h3><strong>14.	  In-person Corporate Sunday School for Adults will be at 9 A.M.in the Main Sanctuary.  In-person Corporate Worship will be at 10 A.M.  in the Main Sanctuary.  Sunday School for Children and Youth will be held in 348 Convent Ave.  Children and Youth Church Service will resume on June 19, 2022 in the Lower Sanctuary.  </strong></h3><h3></h3><h3><strong>Registration</strong></h3><h3><strong>You can register for the in-person 9 A.M. Corporate Sunday School session and the 10 A.M. Worship Service by calling the Convent Church at 646-698-5100 or by registering on Eventbrite.  We recommend that you stay for both services.  Registration starts on May 27, 2022.</strong></h3><h3><strong></strong></h3><h3><strong>Join Us Virtually!</strong></h3><h3><strong>Due to limited seating in Convent’s Main sanctuary, registration to worship on-site may no longer be available to you and your household at the time of registration. Attendance for visiting groups is not available at this time.  Please know that you will still have the option to worship with us virtually via The Convent Facebook Page or our YouTube channel.</strong></h3><h3><strong>Thank you!</strong></h3><h3><strong></strong></h3><h3><strong>We thank you for your prayers and support.
