About this event

3–5 Series: Inspire Curiosity in Your Mathematics Classroom

Inspire curiosity in students and in ourselves as teachers. In this professional development series, we will discover ways to encourage students to explore, make sense, and problem solve to become powerful doers of mathematics. Empower students to ask meaningful questions and to explore and uncover new ideas. Examine our role in facilitating math lessons where we are curious about students’ ideas and we use their ideas to promote discussion. ISBE Professional Development hours will be provided for each session.

Four 90-minute virtual sessions from 8:30–10:00 am, 10:30 am–12:00 pm, 1:00–2:30 pm, or 4:30–6:00 pm; AND two full-day in-person sessions from 8:30 am–3:00 pm.
