Anywhere: Personal Care Kits with Columbus Recreation & Parks thru 7.10.22

Children will pack personal care kits and decorate cheer cards for families served by Columbus Recreation & Parks' Rapid Response Program.

Who this anywhere service project is for: Ages 2 - 12.Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org What you&#x27;ll be doing: Children will explore how we all need help sometimes and how we can all give help sometimes through a read aloud and conversation. Helping hands will then pack 2+ personal care kits and make cheer cards for families served by <a href="https://www.columbus.gov/recreationandparks/About-Us/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Columbus Recreation &amp; Parks&#x27;</a> Rapid Response Program.When you&#x27;ll be doing it:This anywhere service project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are! This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on July 10th. Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm July 8-10 at a Seeds of Caring volunteer&#x27;s home (Bexley, Upper Arlington, Dublin). Addresses will be provided in the service packet. How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.The meaning-making: Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you&#x27;ll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project&#x27;s guided discussion focuses on service and poverty. Approximate Cost: $15 for 2 kits including toilet paper, lotion, bar soap, etc. (full packing list is included in the service packet). For the cheer card use craft supplies on hand or the printable template provided in the service packet.Why you&#x27;ll be invited to donate:Every time we&#x27;re able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it&#x27;s with the help of supporters like you.
