Part 2: Māla Connection 👩🏽‍🌾Walk with us through the farm and learn about local and Hawaiian agriculture, see the process from raw vegetable to finished product… and taste them! Part 3: E Pā’ina Kākou 🤙🏽Letʻs share a meal together! Enjoy a sampling of foods sourced straight from @farmtobarn. Voyaging Foods is a Hawaiʻi-based miller, farm and bakehouse developing gluten-free goods and dry mixes of flour from Hawaiian-grown heritage canoe plants such as Kalo (Taro), 'Uala (Sweet Potato) and 'Ulu (Breadfruit). What began as one mother’s attempt to supply her children with nutritious gluten-free meals has evolved into the artisan milling company to support both the economic and health stability for her island community that is now Voyaging Foods. Their goal is to help build a regenerative, indigenous and decentralized biodiverse food system."Our Native Hawaiian ancestors fed poi (cooked &amp; pureed taro root) to their babies as the first food. Continuing that connection to this healthy root, I started preserving it in the form of a flour for our allergy-free meals." - Brynn Foster, FounderPua Mohala shares practices for holistic healing, mental health and aloha ʻāina (love of the land) through workshops, retreats and indigenous cultural activities. Their work focuses to empower youth to become culturally conscious adults by prioritizing wellness and connection to the land.Founders Priscilla and Momi have over 35 years combined experience working with adolescents and their families. As professional working mothers of Native Hawaiian teenagers, Priscilla and Momi experienced first hand the gap in services for adolescents, especially those of indigenous ancestry.
