Students will learn how to carve their own custom rubber stamps including easy transfer techniques for their own or found designs.

Beginner to AdvancedAges 13+ only.

Learn to make your own personalized rubber stamps for endless creative applications! An ideal class for more experienced artists who would like to make more complicated designs and beginners alike. No drawing skills? No problem! We’ll learn a quick and easy method for transferring images and text we find online that also works for hand-drawn designs. 

Students will be provided with a 4”x6” piece of carving rubber that can be cut down to make 4 small stamps, 2 medium stamps, 1 large stamp, or a combination of small and medium stamps. Stamps can be used to stamp designs on paper, cards, notebooks, tags, and fabric items such as tote bags.
We will break for lunch in the community park just behind the studio weather permitting. Students may bring their own sack lunch or purchase a fabulous lunch from the local cafe Village Cuisine during checkout. ***NOTE: If you do not select a lunch add-on you agree that you will supply a sack lunch for your student to bring to the event.*****NOTE: This activity utilizes sharp tools. Only students aged 13 and up will be accepted. Students who do not handle tools properly and with respect after the safety training will not be allowed to participate.Phones and tablets are welcome for reference and research.Free Wifi Provided.Water provided.This class is taught by Sophia Tolliver of Little Brick Studio, artist and state-certified art educator.
