Join us and Shawn Amos, world-renowned blues musician and the son of Wally Amos, aka Famous Amos: a pop culture icon and cookie mogul.

<h2>THURSDAY, MAY 26 AT 6:00PM ET</h2><p><em>Join us at Books of Wonder as we celebrate COOKIES AND MILK, the semi-autobiographical novel from Shawn Amos. Partially based on Shawn Amos&#x27;s own experiences growing up the son of Wally “Famous” Amos in a mostly white area, and packed with humor, heart, and fun illustrations, this debut novel sings with the joy of self-discovery, unconditional love, and belonging. Shawn Amos will be in conversation with Robert Dowling.</em></p><p></p>

<h2>WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO JOIN US:</h2><ul><li>We recommend RSVPing to attend! RSVPing here guarantees entry for the event. Please make sure to RSVP for your full party, including any and all children.</li></ul><ul><li>Please note that there will only be 60 RSVPs available. Guests who have RSVPed must arrive by 6:00PM in order to claim their spot. After that time, the reserved seat will become available to walk-up guests.</li></ul><ul><li>All attendees over the age of 5 must bring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test from within the last 24 hours. We will be checking!</li></ul><ul><li>All attendees over the age of 2 will need to wear a mask while in the store, as per NYC guidelines for live indoor events.</li></ul><ul><li>Remember: if you are not feeling well please do not attend this event!</li></ul><ul><li>If you have any questions about the event or any of these guidelines please be sure to reach out to us at customerservice@booksofwonder.com.</li></ul><h3>*One book may be brought from home to be signed for every book purchased at the event.</h3>

<h2>ABOUT THE AUTHOR</h2><p>Shawn Amos is a world-renowned Blues musician who grew up the son of Wally Amos, aka Famous Amos: a pop culture icon, cookie mogul, and household name to this day. When Shawn’s not touring or recording as The Reverend Shawn Amos, he works as a partner at NYC communications firm Hudson Cutler. He is also a divorced father of three children, with whom he enjoys baking. This is his first novel.</p><p></p>
