Major Taylor Cycling Club 1st Annual Juneteenth Ride and Community Fellowship Event.    FREE TO ALL

Fairwood Park

Juneteenth holds special significance for African Americans and serves as a learning opportunity for the community at large. Major Taylor Cycling Club will celebrate Juneteenth with the community on June 11, 2022. Holding it on this date will allow all to participate in other events on the actual holiday (6/18/2022). The whole community is welcome!!Event Location: Fairwood Park at 1392 Fairwood Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43206Event Scope: From 12 to 3 p.m., there will be live music, food trucks, vendors selling handcrafted items, health screenings, and speakers. Speakers include: <ul><li>Elaine Bryant, Columbus Chief of Police</li><li>Al Edmondson, CEO of Making A Difference</li><li>Keith Brown, President, Major Taylor Cycling Club of Columbus </li></ul>Bike Rides: At 10:30 a.m., an escorted family/community bike ride with the Chief of Police. Length of ride will be10-miles.
