Music with Happy's Back Trio Jazz-Variety

Burrell School’s origins date back to 1854 when Lyman J. Burrell settled the rough wilderness that is now home to our winery and Estate vines. Carrying on the more than 130 year old tradition at the School, David and Anne Moulton began development of the Estate vineyard in 1973. At a 1,600 foot elevation, the soils are a complex mixture of loam and shale due to our close proximity to the San Andreas Fault. Nearby Monterey Bay brings warm days and cool nights. This results in a unique microclimate, perfect for long, slow ripening of cool climate grapes. From growing to harvesting, the goal is toward the best wine grapes possible in order to produce distinctive, concentrated wines reflective of their mountain home. Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, crushed in small lots, and fermented with select yeast strains. Barrel selection is tailored to each varietal. Long, slow aging (12 to 24 months in French or American oak barrels) and unfined, unfiltered wines are the key to our winemaking techniques. The outside veranda overlooks the Estate vines with spectacular views of the canyons and ridges of the Santa Cruz Mountains.We invite you to visit us and taste as well as experience our rich heritage and award winning wines.

Based in Los Gatos, CA: Quality jazz / pop/ R &amp; B/ original music in the South Bay area - from Doors to Gershwin with a blues/jazz vibe. Dance to New Orleans style rock, romance to smooth Bossa, with Mark’s groove-a-liscious vibe on drums.NANCYB DAVIS - Vocals/Guitar/SongwriterOver 15 years of experience playing in bands &amp; solo. Piano lessons at age 6 started Nancyb&#x27;s music life, then in the 90s she toured the US playing country music, and switched to folk songs from 2005-2010. In 2011 she began to study the Bossa songs of Jobim &amp; other standards, taking jazz guitar from prominent Sacramento area player, Henry Robinett. Nancyb left the folk songs behind &amp; added the Great American Song Book to her soul/R &amp; B/ vintage pop repertoire. She has played in the Sacramento area, Houston, Austin, Nashville, Oklahoma City, &amp; recently in the California Gold Country, Humboldt County, Santa Cruz &amp; now Silicon Valley. In addition to performing, Nancyb is creating new tunes/lyrics continually to reflect the times we live in. She likes to say, &quot;call me Nancy, Nancyb, or Nancyb Davis, just don&#x27;t call me Nancy Davis&quot;RON SUAREZ - Bass/Keys/VocalsRon’s earliest influence was mom playing Chopin…then piano lessons - from pop to Bach. Ron grabbed the bass guitar to fill a slot for his high-school rock band, &amp; began to sing, &amp; study classical guitar as well. Ron indulges in diverse styles, rhythms, &amp; aural pleasures: Hank Williams, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Neil Young, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane &amp; Lois Armstrong…rock, blues, swamp pop, boogie woogie, &amp; jazz. He’s performed at basements in Philly, dive bars in NYC, wrought iron balconies in New Orleans, makeshift amphitheaters in the Philippines, wine bars &amp; beer crawls in the Bay Area, driveways &amp; sidewalks in the pandemic. Mr. Suarez lays down a solid groove—you are sure to enjoy listening, &amp; dancing if that’s your penchant.MARK SZELENYI – Drums/PercussionMark’s father played drums &amp; influenced his passion, so by age 14 Mark had started his 1st rock band. In college he played drums semi-professionally in San Luis Obispo, as well as guitar &amp; piano. In the bay area Mark has played guitar, keyboards, percussion, &amp; drums in several bands at corporate events, festivals, &amp; clubs. He loves all types of music, thriving on learning &amp; honing his craft, studying with influential teachers.
