In this workshop, co-founder of the PA Flax Project, Heidi Barr, will talk about both the artisanal and mechanical processes of taking flax from seed to fabric and about Pa Flax Project&#x27;s work to reestablish the industry in Pennsylvania.This hands-on workshop will explore the process of flax from retted straw into golden spinnable fiber destined to become fine linen. Participants will also make and take home a braided flax fiber piece made from the PA Project&#x27;s crop.Be sure to register to learn about the history of flax for linen in Philadelphia, the amazing qualities of this plant, and the fabric we can make with it!This workshop will take place at Wyck (6026 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144). We will gather in the education building next to the Walnut Lane entrance.
