Gallery 270, founded in 1998 in Westwood, NJ, flourishes just 20 miles from the nexus of the fine art photographic marketplace. While over a hundred galleries actively sell photography in NYC, Gallery 270 succeeds by catering to experienced and novice collectors seeking an increasingly rare quality in the field – value. The gallery exists to serve its’ varied community while fostering an appreciation for, and the desire to own, the work of the distinguished photographers of the 20th Century and the emergent photographers of the 21st Century from around the world. We place particular emphasis on modern emerging photographers employing traditional processes such as platinum/palladium, cyanotype and gum bichromate, where the hand of the artist is so much more intimately engaged.We also have a passion for great music and great musical photographers. As a full service gallery, we are able to find that special image or obscure photographer one may seek. A wide range of autographed monographs and out of print and vintage books delight photo book aficionados. We’re especially revered by both interested beginners just establishing a collection, and seasoned collectors who continue to add work, for our trustworthy guidance, accessibility, knowledge and friendliness. We welcome inquiries for appraisal, photo restoration, expert witness and management collection services, private or corporate.

George Tice will be visiting Gallery 270 in Westwood, NJ on Thursday June 2nd from 7 pm - 9 pm for a book signing. At the center of this event is his new book &quot;Lifework - Photographs 1953 - 2013.&quot; You can meet George Tice and his daughters Lisa and Jennifer and have your book[s] personalized at this free event on Thursday, June 2 from 7 pm - 9 pm. In addition to George&#x27;s latest book, Gallery 270 will have other Tice titles on display and available for purchase.About the book Lifework chronicles the extraordinary career of George Tice, one of the most celebrated American photographers of the modern age. Beginning with his photographs of The Bowery in the early fifties, Tice has used his camera to document the people and places of everyday America that often go overlooked. There are 42 of each print, numbered in sequence. Once a particular print is gone, only the remaining prints will be offered.
