<H2>ABOUT JOANNA</H2>
Joanna is the co-founder of Beijing MakerSpace, China’s first makerspace and largest hardware technology incubator. As one of the pioneers in leading China's "makers movement", Joanna started off with a 215-sqr-feet room and developed into a network of innovation spaces covering Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Qingdao, coupled with multiple prototype manufacturing plants. So far, MakerSpace has served 30+ large corporations and is anticipated to go IPO by the end of 2017.
Joanna is also a Chinese tech evangelist through Indiegogo, and was the first to use Indiegogo and Kickstarter to grow Chinese startups and launch them in overseas markets. She has helped dozens of companies through A and B financing rounds, and has worked on three hardware projects now each at a valuation of over 1 billion CNY.
Joanna also shares a passion for innovation education. She founded Creatica, the first STEM education tinker studio for the younger generation, inspiring young students with the maker spirit and showing them how to harness the power of technology R&D to improve everyday life.
Joanna is the sole Asia-based recipient of Google’s full scholarship for Singularity University's Global Solutions Program, where she also later became an adviser and won the "2016-2017 Advisor of the Year" Award.
