Los Padres ForestWatch is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting wildlife and wild places throughout the Los Padres National Forest. Founded in 2004, ForestWatch has safeguarded more than two million acres of public lands along California’s Central Coast, from the famed Big Sur coastline to the Santa Lucia Mountains and the Carrizo Plain, to the rugged backcountry of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties and beyond. Join Los Padres ForestWatch's Conservation Director, Bryant Baker, for an evening nature hike along Jesusita Trail in Santa Barbara.

Jesusita Trailhead

Learn about native plants and how to identify them from a naturalist who specializes in the area&#x27;s unique chaparral and coastal sage scrub ecosystems. See beautiful wildflowers, insects, and other critters while learning about local ecology and how these ecosystems cope with wildfire. We plan to leave the trailhead next to the Cater Water Treatment Plant (<a href="https://goo.gl/maps/7bcNMLtWaAwhRfBM9" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>) at 5:30pm and be back before the sun goes down.
