Heat Competition for first 4 weeks (2 chosen couples every week) = all couples freestyle at the same time to music selected by the DJ. Each heat lasts 1:00-1:30. Usually there are multiple heats to allow each couple to be seen. If a lots of couples competing, we will eliminate couples as we go.2. Costumes allowed.3. Tricks, lifts, dips, drops, and shines- allowing all of these4. Same sex partnerships allowed5. Open Dancer Status: The Open Salsa Contest is an international competition open to all persons.
