Replit Education Workshop: Using PRIMM to teach Programming w/ Andy Colley

David Morgan is the Teacher and Customer Success Manager at Replit - the online, multiplayer IDE. He's spent the last twenty years teaching Computer Science at secondary schools around the UK and is now on a mission to share the wonders of Replit with teachers worldwide. Replit Teams for Education present the first in a series of professional development workshops for our fantastic community of teachers.

The PRIMM model is a wonderful - and pedagogically sound - method for teaching programming skills that can be embedded in your curricula and day-to-day practice. We&#x27;ll be taking a deep dive into the Predict-Run-Investigate-Modify-Make model to see just how this can encourage students to experiment with existing code, before moving on to make changes and final produce their own programs.

The month&#x27;s workshop features the amazing Andy Colley (<a href="https://twitter.com/MrAColley" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@MrAColley</a>) who is a Head of Computing, CAS Master Teacher and host of the brilliant <a href="https://twitter.com/LearningDust" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">LearningDust</a> podcast. He&#x27;s produced two PRIMM focused curricula on the Curriculum Hub which you can use for free in your own Replit Team for Education.
