The show will run until May 29.About the event :<a href="https://www.hannahatallah.com/show" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Hannah Atallah</a> is a visual artist born in Washington DC. She works primarily as a muralist and mixed-media artist and her focus is on large-scale art projects. She is of Palestinian-Lebanese-Irish-American descent, and often draws from her own cultural inspirations in her work. Atallah has been recognized by the DC Commission on the Arts for her work. <a href="https://www.lostorigins.gallery/about" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lost Origins Gallery</a> is a privately owned and operated space located in the historic Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington D.C. Lost Origin Productions is an arts and culture focused multi-media company directed by Jason Hamacher. From 2005-2010, Hamacher worked in Syria and was granted unprecedented access to the city of Aleppo. He went to document ancient religious traditions and, inadvertently, captured the apex of Syria’s modernization before the eruption of war. He is currently working on several long term projects with Smithsonian Folkways and the Library Of Congress and contributes to the international conversation on Syria with public addresses, media interviews, and frequent exhibitions. Hamacher built the Lost Origins Gallery to create a space that&#x27;s inviting, intimate and not monetarily driven. Lost Origins Gallery hosts exhibitions and events, in all mediums, based on concept alone. Sales are optional and encouraged. <a href="https://www.7hillspark.com/story/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">7Hills</a> <a href="https://alraseef153.com/About" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">&amp; AlRaseef153</a> As part of the exhibition, Atallah refurbished and hand painted seven skate decks to raise money for 7Hills and AlRaseef153 in Amman, Jordan. Various merch will also be available as part of the fundraiser.<a href="https://www.7hillspark.com/story/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">7Hills</a> is a Jordanian, skateboarders-driven non profit organization that aims to make skateboarding accessible for all. The 7Hills crew runs weekly free of charge programs for about 200 youth (70% refugees; 45% girls; 10+ nationalities) to break down social and cultural boundaries through skateboarding. In addition to the free skate sessions, they provide skateboards, transportation to the skatepark, tips and tricks, and a safe and supportive environment to people from all walks of life..<a href="https://alraseef153.com/About" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">AlRaseef153</a> is an Experimental Space based in Amman, Jordan and run by 7Hills. Part makerspace, part media lab and part exhibition venue. 7Hills aims to experiment with the space of Al Raseef 153 in and of itself, while providing a space for creative experimentation for the youth of Samir Al-Rifaai park. At the core of the space are the principles of multidisciplinarity, collaboration and DIY culture. Al Raseef 153 opened in 2021 as an extension to 7Hills&#x27; successful skateboarding program in collaboration with STPLN with funding from the Swedish Institute. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/hootiehoogrip/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Hootie Hoo Griptape</a> contributed custom grip tapes to exhibition with Arabic phrases chosen by the 7Hills youth leaders and community.
