This important topic resonates through our current exhibitions, <a href="https://www.santacruzmah.org/exhibitions/strange-weather" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Strange Weather</a> and <a href="https://www.santacruzmah.org/exhibitions/freak-power" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Freak Power</a>, and continues to be a relevant and powerful tool for addressing current societal issues.Meet, mingle, and share ideas with other community members, plus explore the museum as part of First Friday in June. Made Fresh Crew, Mission Street Mural, 2019This clean oceans mural was made possible through the School District, City of Santa Cruz, Arts Council and Cal Trans. The artists worked with the students of Bay View Elementary to educate them about plastic pollution and the species affected in the Monterey Bay.
