The Smoker Social at Club Macanudo

Fine Tobacco Club was founded in 2009 in New York City as “Fine Tobacco NYC.” It began with a simple goal: to bring together cigar smokers to appreciate the art and craft of fine tobacco together. What started as a few friends learning about cigars together has become perhaps the largest regularly meeting cigar group in the world. Each month, we bring together anyone who loves cigars, libations, and good conversation for cigar and spirits pairings, live jazz events, summer rooftop events, new product releases and more. After more than 200 gatherings over 10 years, Fine Tobacco Club now seeks to bring new experiences, friendships, and products to fine tobacco lovers everywhere.

Handcrafted at General Cigar’s HATSA factory in Danlí, Honduras, Punch Gran Puro Nicaragua is handcrafted with a muscular blend of high-priming Nicaraguan filler and binder leaves surrounded by a hearty Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. The smoke issues bold notes of pepper and cedar with an earthy hint of leather in the mix.

According to General Cigar’s Director of Marketing Strategy, Ed McKenna: “For the extension of the Gran Puro line, our artisans built a blend that balances Nicaraguan tobaccos with a Maduro wrapper to deliver a layered, dimensional flavor not traditionally found in Nicaraguan-based cigars.”

Glenfiddich Bourbon Barrel Reserve 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is aged carefully in ex-bourbon barrels for 14 years. After this initial aging, Glenfiddich’s Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, finishes the whisky in deeply charred new American Oak barrels supplied by The Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky. As a result, Glenfiddich Bourbon Barrel Reserve 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a distinctly sweet aroma, reminiscent of bourbon flavors such as cracked corn, ripe summer fruits and caramel. The palate is spicy, with intense woody influences shining through, and leads to a clean finish accented by vanilla, almonds, raisins and faint wisps of smoke.

Glenfiddich Solera Reserve 15 Year Old is matured to perfection in three different types of oak casks. These are sherry casks, first used to age sherry, traditional bourbon casks from America and new oak casks, coopered from European timber. The Glenfiddich Malt Master carefully selects the finest casks for maturation to ensure the smoothness and depth of flavour which characterise Glenfiddich Solera Reserve.
