Brand program: 
 Qilin Influential Board, the first brand video content programmer of Qilin Media, focuses on the most influential figures, who really have the drive to stimulate social progress, of technology Internet venture circles in China, the United States and Israel.  The theme of the program is "they influence the world, we explain them, redefine success.”
 
As a special show of Qilin Influential Board, the documentary Big Shots of Silicon Valley (season one),  taking 15 months in production and consuming nearly US$450,000 budget, is a 6-episode video series telling the stories of the six influential Silicon Valley technology investors and entrepreneurs. Each episode is about 40 to 45 minutes long. Areas covered include public shareholding, high-tech project investment, new energy, big data and new vehicles, etc.
 
The unorthodox trial broadcasting of the show on several websites including tecent.com, le.com andifeng.com resulted in a viewing hits far beyond expectation.
 
Three days after the broadcasting we got the first purchase contract; ten days after we had a deal done of its overseas publishing schedule drawing reports from over fifteen major medias and over 100 both traditional and new media’s attention in reporting. Moreover the show had drawn the attentions of over 20 publish houses and its publishing plan was fixed within one month of the broadcasting. What is more is there were five to six domestic and overseas facilities showed their intention of equity investment.   
The first episode had a total of 5.91 million viewing hits on four websites, which were more than a dozen of times of the viewing hits of 90% of similar finance and technology shows, brining a huge impact on Chinese technology and internet investment circle. With the other five episodes yet broadcasted it was already nominated for the China Academy of Documentary Film Awards, which is the most professional award for Chinese documentary in the academic field. 
 
The Founder
 
Wuqing, the founder of Qilin Media, is the chief director and hostess of Big Shots of Silicon Valley. She was the former field reporter of Topics in Focus and News Probe; both are two renown news shows of CCTV.  Wuqing has a diversified academic background in many fields such as news, Chinese literature, law and business management and she also has rich work experience in many professional lines including press, education and commerce.
 
During her thirteen years of work experience in CCTV, Wuing had her footprints all around China reporting various news stories such as Why unlicensed Clinic Cann’t Be Banned For Good, The Shrank Low Rend House, Black Lung and Discloser of YiLi Scheme. She also spoke out and sought ways to protect the interests of vulnerable social groups, such as AIDS orphans, leukemic children, dust lung patients and hepatitis B patients etc and had been given rewards of Excellence Individual and Intellectual and Moral Extraordinary and Silver award of the Best Creative Program Competition by CCTV.

1.   Equity Father: Angellist and its founder Naval
 
13 years ago, Naval founded a business, because he did not understand the unspoken rules of the venture capital industry then, he was deceived and lost all his investment. This experience had given Naval the first taste of the maliciousness of capital and the entrepreneurial hardships. He decided to help start-ups in a special way: Angellist. Angellist, now with a largely aggregated resources  is a gigantic investment and financing platform which has overturned the traditional venture capital industry. From a start-up company to a carrier-class investment and financing enterprise, they only spent three years. AngelList model, widely spread throughout the world and copied, is also deeply affecting China now. Why can they succeed?
 
2. Palantir: No.1 Big Data Company
 
The images of Osama bin Laden killed by US troops have spread throughout the world through various media. People can not help but ask, how the US military was to find him? It turned out that it was Palantir, the hero behind the scenes, that helped the government seize Osama bin Laden.
 
Joe Lonsdale, straight from his graduation from Stanford University, co-founded Palantir along with Peter Thiel and others.  In addition, Joe had also founded two other high-tech companies and F8, 8vc, two Silicon Valley's largest venture capital fund for Asia. Joe's team manages over $ 500 billion equity. The 34-year-old young man was claimed to rank as the second investor in Silicon Valley by the US media. His values are: to set up or invest in intelligent enterprises, to repair the traditional, flawed industry. He wants to make this inefficient world become more intelligent and efficient.
 
 
3. The first company in the world let the car fly up into the sky:Terrafugia and its founder Dr. Carl Dietrich
 
The 38-old Carl is the founder of the flying car company terrafugia, the Chinese meaning is: to flee the earth.
 
When he was 8 years old Carl saw a movie about flight and thus had the dream of making aircraft. From the University of Massachusetts Institute of Technology to his Master, PhD and postdoctoral academic experience he has been learning everything on flying. After graduation he founded his flying car company. Flying cars, like the reality version of “Transformers" the wing can be folded during its flight. Once mass production is realized, they will solve the problem of traffic congestion for human. Carl's flying car has been getting more and more people's attention, China's Geely Automobile is working with them to explore cooperation chances. Karl said, I not only want a cool thing, but also a true helper which can solve the problem of traffic congestion.
 
4. Bill Gates and Peter Thiel jointly invested new energy company: the Lightsail and its founder Daniel Fang
 
 
At the age of 22, Daniel founded the new energy company Lightsail. At 23 She was listed by Forbes as one of the 30 30-year-old entrepreneurs and in the same year her company got a 37.3 million US dollars funding. It is the principle of many investors not to invest into the energy industry, but both Bill Gates and Peter Thiel has invested in her. Daniel and her team have the best technology, for they cracked the hundred-year mystery "compressed air energy storage" and received more than 50 patents. This means that a trillion-level market is about to be leveraged.
 
5. Stanford scientist, professors and investor: Zhang Shou Sheng and his Danhua Capital
 
53-year-old Zhang Shou-sheng, has swept all the heavyweight awards in physics community except Nobel Prize and is considered the youngest Nobel contender in the Stanford University Department of Physics.
 
Still in heyday in the field of physics he choose to switch to investment. His first angel investment turned out to be a great success. The company he invested, Vmware, is now valued at 48 billion US dollars. Two years ago he founded Danhua Capital with only seven employees, create impressive performance even by Silicon Valley investment industry standards. He excelled in everything from Scientific research, teaching and investment. What on earth does Zhang Shousheng have in hands to achieve such.
 
6. Silicon Valley's premier Chinese-founded fund, Fengyuan Capital, and his founder, Wu Jun
 
Wu Jun, author of “the summit of the wave” and " "Silicon Valley mystery”,  and other books, has lived in Silicon Valley for 20 years. He has been chasing the tide of the times, given up a stable teacher career in Tsinghua University and went to the United States to for get his doctor degree.  He gave up work offer in big companies and  resolutely choose to join Google,then a small star-up company. He was the main designer of Google’s Japanese and Korean search algorithm. Two years ago, he resigned and founded Fengyuan, a venture company. Why? He saw the specific opportunity in next decade between China and the United States. So what is this opportunity?
