Join Lynne Yuster as we dance for the lives of women battling breast cancer and raise money for B4BC - Boarding for Breast Cancer!

A personal message from Lynne Yuster:This is a special invitation to dance for your life and the lives of women battling breast cancer. I chose the charity <a href="https://b4bc.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">B4BC</a> (Boarding for Breast Cancer) because as a young, active woman newly diagnosed with breast cancer, I cannot tell you the importance of early detection, healthy living education and healing resources for recovering breast cancer patients. I know firsthand how important it is for active women like me to return to their vibrant selves after cancer. We deserve to be whole again, emotionally and physically.In early October 2021, I attended a charity dance class with Grace Yu for B4BC that may have saved my life. My daughter and I danced together that day and I was inspired by the 25 years Lisa Hudson has dedicated to educating young women about breast cancer prevention. A couple weeks after that class I received a mammogram which came back positive for breast cancer. I don’t believe that anything in life is a coincidence. Things happen for a reason and I do believe that class raised a red flag in my subconscious to get checked. I have no family history, I run everyday, eat clean, barely drink and this came out of nowhere. That is why we need to be proactive with our health and put ourselves first! As women we are always serving and taking care of others. Now is the time to practice self love and save yourself.On the last day of school prior to winter vacation I was diagnosed. I remember attending my children’s concert that day at school and ironically the 2 songs they sang were Three Little Birds by Bob Marley and Roar by Katy Perry. Again not a coincidence, as those became my theme songs for my cancer journey. Over the span of a month and a half I had two lumpectomies and a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. It was challenging both emotionally and physically but I am so grateful it was caught early and that my prognosis is bright!!!Gifts come from struggle. I have learned to have a voice, found depths of strength I never knew I had, and to take action in my life. I am becoming an upstander in my life rather than a bystander. Be an upstander with me and let’s work towards saving lives and eradicating cancer!Dance for your life and enjoy every minute of it! ❤️

BOARDING FOR BREAST CANCER (B4BC) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit foundation founded in 1996. Their mission is triple focused to:1) Prepare young people with education on early detection.2) Promote the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention.3) Provide survivor support for those affected by breast cancer.
