It is a 6 day trip, which runs in our Spring and Fall seasons and is full of ministry experience and training. While here you will be fully immersed in our many outreaches and will learn how to reach communities in a relevant and exciting way. You can pay an additional $17/day for food if you would like (this will be cafeteria style and available on site). We also have a full kitchen with refrigerators, stoves and all that you need to make your own meals if you want to visit one of the local grocery stores and make your own food! Uber eats is an option and there are plenty of restaurants in the area! Airfare or travel to NYC is not included.Who can come?Anyone can join us! We do ask that young children not come as this is not a fitting trip for them. You do not have to be part of E4 or IPHC to come! Also please note that because we are working with children, you must have a clean background check.Where will I be staying?Lodging will be at our MWC headquarters. Rooms are dorm style with 2-3 bunk beds and there are community bathrooms with several stalls and showers. Women and men will be in separate areas.What will I be doing?You will get to be a part of the world’s largest children’s ministry! We will go out on the trucks a few days with MWC missionaries and minister to several communities throughout New York City. It will be very much like a VBS outreach with music, speaking and ministering. We will also be doing an indoor service on Saturday, bussing in kids from all over the community. Your exact role will be assigned by our on-site coordinator…stay flexible and have fun…we get to love on people and that’s the best part! You can Google or YouTube Metro World Child to see what it will look like!Transportation?To get to headquarters, we will work with you to have someone on our staff pick you up. Cost is $25 for one, and $5 for every person after that. Price will be split between whoever rides together based on arrival times. Uber is also an option. Around the city, you can Uber or take subways.Will I have free time to explore NYC?YES!! That is one thing we are so excited about! You will have time to explore all that NYC has to offer!! We will have a schedule ahead of time so that you can plan what you want to do…or just be spontaneous!
