Royal Armouries Museum - The Cinema Stage

Demonstrating confidence in the future of the North East of England, the region has been attracting attention from national and global investors who are committed to making a social and economic impact, as well as levelling up the UK. Three transformational projects are in the pipeline including a £300m investment into Newcastle United Football Club, a £358m investment in ‘The Sage’ an international venue for world class business and entertainment and £25m investment from BBC over the next five years. This event will put a spotlight on these investments and discuss their role in the region’s future. Newcastle is also the first city in the world to have a local authority, hospital trust, and university declare a Climate Emergency and make Net Zero commitments. The city is now an international climate leader, recognised as such by international climate research provider Carbon Disclosure Platform (CDP) through the award of ‘A’ grade status – one of only 95 places globally to receive the top rating.
