Our teen program is returning this summer after a 2-year hiatus. Join us in the SAW space for hands on comics making!

The Sequential Artists Workshop

In the first week of this comics-making class, we&#x27;ll build basic comics creation skills through exercises and short projects.Students will learn cartooning techniques and tools, design their own characters, practice drawing action, backgrounds and objects, and explore how to tell great stories in comics form.In the second week, we will focus on one long project and the creation of a student-edited anthology. This is a fun, fast-paced, hands-on creative learning experience designed especially for teens and tweens. WhenThis course meets Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 3 pm each day. Lunch is not provided, but water and pretzels are available.WhereThis is an in person only event in Gainesville, Florida at our new location: 1314 S Main St. WhoThis is for students aged 12-15. No drawing experience is needed but students are encouraged to have an interest and curiosity for comics. Class size is limited to 15 students. Both weeks will be lead by professional cartoonist and seasoned comics instructor, Pat Aulisio. Pat Aulisio is a cartoonist and educator based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His comic work ranges from surreal and abstracted versions of science fiction, to crude humor gag comics, genre forward horror, and kayfabe bio stories from world of pro wrestling.
