Established in 2009, Foci MCGA (Minnesota Center for Glass Arts) proudly represents a vibrant arts community as Minnesota’s only non-profit public access glass studio and education center. Our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is located in Minneapolis and offers a full glass studio curriculum taught by artists locally and nationally recognized, as well as programming for youth, corporate group experiences, events, and exhibitions. Join the only glass art nonprofit in the Midwest for exhibitions, artist talks, and receptions! Our mission is to gather people to explore the creative potential of glass.

Join us for snacks and glassblowing demonstrations held by the student artists to celebrate their exhibition! Limited seating due to COVID-19. Masks required indoors.Reception: Friday May 20, 2022 5:30-8:30pmExhibition StatementLife throws vastly different experiences for each of us and we all walk different paths. It’s easy to lose sight of the light at times and return with an image of a world that is broken and unjust. When this feeling of helplessness overtakes, we all have a place that invokes a personal sense of inner peace that we go to physically or mentally for an escape. Through the shared medium of glass, the artists of Joyful Destination create and express their personal joys to remember the good that the world has to offer. The paths of these artists crossed as students at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
