FASHION REVOLUTION WEEK UAE 2022

Fashion Revolution UAE organises events ranging from workshops, online panel discussions to masterclasses, as well as a sustainable fashion competition for new talents. It encourage brands and consumers in the UAE to adopt a more conscious lifestyle.

Listen in as experts discuss younger generations' attachment to status and luxury brands, and its expression through fashion.On this panel, we will be hearing from: <ul><li>Dr Reem El Mutwalli, Founder of <a href="https://thezay.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Zay Initiative</a>, Lead Curator of the Women’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, is a published author, curator and public speaker. With over 30 years of experience, she is an expert consultant in Islamic art and architecture, interior design, historic dress and UAE heritage.</li><li>Sandra Martínez, Clinical Psychologist, specialized in children and teenagers, with a focus on third generation therapies such as ACT, EMDR, DBT and Mindfulness</li><li>Habiba Abdulrahman, a sustainable lifestyle blogger, digital content creator for <a href="https://thriftforgood.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Thrift for Good</a>. She is passionate about conserving the environment and learning about sustainability, and founded an initiative called Trashion Kenya in Kenya in 2018 which showcases how trash and fashion can be fused to create special products.</li></ul>This talk is moderated by Alexandra Bucokova, Operations Coordinator for Fashion Revolution UAE. Originally from Slovakia, she has a Master’s degree in Sustainable Fashion. She has experience and knowledge from different fields of the fashion industry. During her studies, she developed a strong sense of devotion for the social aspect of the fashion industry and would like to make a difference in this sector, which is why she joined Fashion Revolution.
