The Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption operates, through the embassies and consulates abroad, a unique project for maintaining contact with Israelis living outside Israel – the Israeli House. The main purpose is to offer counseling and guidance for those interested in returning home, and to provide personal support and counseling in planning the return.Mifgash Hebrew-Speakers Meetup:Mifgash is an advanced-level Hebrew conversation and social meet-up for Young-ish Professionals (ages 20s-30s-40s) in the DC area.  Join other Israelis and proficient Hebrew-speakers for discussions, lectures, concerts, social gatherings, films, holiday celebrations, game nights, and more-- all in HEBREW!  Mifgash typically meets every two weeks for an organized program in Hebrew, followed by casual Hebrew conversation a nearby café. Contactmifgash.dc@gmail.comfor details about the group and to be added to the e-mailing list to receive all event announcements.

הרצאה לילדים בכיתות ד&#x27;-ז&#x27; – ערב יום השואה בישראל.

ההרצאה תעקוב אחר סיפורה האמיתי של משפחה יהודייה מיוגוסלביה – הורים ושני ילדים – 
שנאלצה לעקור מביתה ולנדוד ברחבי אירופה עד סיום המלחמה. התלאות שעברה המשפחה כללו החלפת זהויות, מאסר בבית כלא, חיפוש אחר מחבואים שונים והצלה בידי חסידי אומות עולם מוסלמים מאלבניה.
מקצועו של אב המשפחה – הצילום - סייע לבני המשפחה להינצל לאורך כל הדרך בדרכים שלפעמים קשה להאמין שאכן קרו.
ההרצאה תלווה בתמונות מקוריות מהתקופה ותדגיש את חשיבותן של ידידות ואהבת אדם בתקופה חשוכה.
סיפור שתחילתו בשואה וסופו בתקומה.
