Heart to Heart: Concert for Peace & Solidarity with Ukraine

Twin Ports musicians and poets will perform a concert to raise funds for Ukraine refugee relief Thursday, April 21.

People are good.In response to the violence and destruction happening in Ukraine, many of Duluth’s musicians, poets and caring people have come together to make a difference in some way and created the event: “Heart to Heart at Sacred Heart, a concert for Peace and Solidarity With Ukraine.”All ticket proceeds and donations gathered from the event will be donated to <a href="https://www.hearttoheart.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Heart to Heart International</a>, a global humanitarian organization based in Kansas. The organization has established an advance team in Eastern Europe and is shipping medical aid into Ukraine and hygiene kits into Poland to support refugee work.The concert promises to be varied and diverse, ranging from music on the Felgemaker organ to peace and antiwar songs performed by the very talented Twin Ports music community and poets. The list of performers include: Aurora Baers, Bill and Kate Isles, Born Too Late, Brian Dack and Doug Greenwood, Ellie Schoenfeld, Fish Heads, George Ellsworth, Janie and the Spokes, Jim Hall, Kyle Orla, John Ward and Lori Hatten, Judas and Israel, Michelle Mathees, Paula Gudmundson, Rachel Kilgour, Rachel Kresha, Ryan Vine, Sara Pajunen, Sarah Lawrence, Skarlett Woods, Sheila Packa, Steve Sokela, and Tom Cawcutt.The concert will also be live streamed on the Sacred Heart Music Center <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdciBGRaz4L_GUzj_GFWyFg" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">YouTube </a>channel so it can be enjoyed from the comfort and safety of home. Donations will be accepted on-line.NOTICE: All concert-goers must wear a mask, provide proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test at the door prior to each show. Phone photos of vaccination cards will be accepted. Further precautions may be taken pending state and county health guidelines.Tickets $10 in advance, $10 at the door. Donations will be accepted.Doors at 6 pm. Music at 7.
