Breastfeeding support groups are appropriate for many common lactation challenges including: assistance with latch and position, sore nipples, plugged ducts, making sure baby is getting enough, establishing a good milk supply, pumping, returning to work, etc. We utilize a sensitive scale to weigh babies before and after feeds to determine intake. In order to protect our vulnerable clients, please adhere to the following:1. Attendants must be symptom free- no runny nose, cough, fever, vomit, diahrrea, etc.2. Must not have tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 10 days.3. Wear a mask at ALL TIMES. 4. No extra guests may attend, only the lactating parent and baby.Support groups are NOT appropriate for complex lactation or medical situations. These are best served by a detailed home visit with ongoing support. To find an IBCLC to work with privately, please go to: NYLCA.orgALL lactating parents are welcome to this group. You do not need to be a patient at Soha Pediatrics.
