With an emphasis on creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, AMcE’s programming offers art workshops for adults, kids and families all year round and in conjunction with our rotation exhibitions.

We are excited to present our second artist workshop with <a href="https://www.nvichayapai.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Nina Vichayapai</a>!Join artist Nina in learning how to turn plain-Jane tote bags into works of art! In this workshop participants will be given blank canvas tote bags and taught techniques in hand sewing and embroidery which can be used to customize the totes into fun and functional wearable art. All materials will be provided and all skill levels are welcome. About the artisti: Using fabric as a language, Nina Vichayapai reveals how surroundings embody humankind. Her hand stitched work explores the importance of homemaking in establishing belonging within the American landscape.Her work has been shown nationally and locally with institutions such as the Wing Luke Museum, the Henry Art Gallery, and the Bellevue Art Museum. She has been an artist in residence at Caldera, Inscape Arts and Cultural Center, Rockland Woods, and Centrum. She has also been the recipient of several public and private art commissions including with Meta Arts, Homes for Good, and the Cities of Redmond and Ellensburg.Born in Bangkok, Thailand, she graduated from the California College of Arts in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and currently lives in the Pacific Northwest.
