Join the New York Women&#x27;s Bar Association Foundation for an Evening Discussion and Book Signing with Shannon Prince. Author of the recently published “Tactics for Racial Justice: Building an Antiracist Organization and Community,” she is an associate at Boies, Schiller &amp; Flexner where she practices complex litigation and dispute resolution in a variety of areas. Shannon also has a background in federal Indian law, policing policy, restorative justice, and tenant advocacy, and has been trained as a mediator. Her experience includes representing individuals and corporations as both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts.Prior to joining Boies Schiller Flexner in 2018, Shannon completed her doctoral and master’s degrees at Harvard University, where she was a Graduate Prize Fellow. She also spent a summer as a researcher at the Newberry Consortium in American Indian Studies Summer Institute. Before beginning post-graduate studies, Shannon was a Dartmouth College post-graduate Lombard Fellow and Doughtery Fund Grantee in Mongolia and a Dartmouth post-graduate Reynolds Scholar in Australia. A 2016 Fellow at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics in Law, she is on the FASPE Alumni Steering Committee and currently writes for the FASPE newsletter What We Are Talking About. The program will take place in person and on Zoom. Please indicate if you are attending in person or via Zoom by emailing info@nywbaf.org.Hors d&#x27;oeuvres and light refreshments will be served. Ticket price does not include purchase of the book which can be purchased at the event. Advance ticket purchase is required by no later than April 28. In-person attendees will be asked to certify compliance with venue Covid protocols and to fill out a guest screening questionnaire upon arrival.Remote log-in information information will be provided before the event.
