Gabriel Willow has been a lover of nature his whole life. Raised in rural Maine, he followed his passion for wild places and wildlife - particularly birds - to Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Vermont and southern Mexico, and earned a degree in ecology. In 2003, he found nature in the least likely of places: New York City.He’s been here ever since, working with the Prospect Park Audubon Center, NYC Audubon, the Bryant Park Corporation, Wave Hill, Lincoln Center, and other organizations and cultural institutions, helping fellow New Yorkers experience the same incredible thrill of discovering interesting wildlife in the midst of the city. His winter harbor ecology tours were called "The Best Thing About Winter in NYC" by Time Out New York , and his self-designed eco-cruises and nature tours have been written up in The New York Times, The New Yorker, New York Magazine, and more.

Explore various sites around Brooklyn to learn more about the borough and its avian visitors and residents. Walks will visit the Salt Marsh Nature Center in Marine Park, Prospect Park, Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and more. Discover fascinating facts about history and ecology along with practical bird identification tips.Groups limited to 12 people. Bring binoculars if you have them.
